Mr Timothy Skelly
Biography | Tim Skelly is a lighting designer for performance and exhibition and an educator who teaches technical theatre and performance design. He is currently working on a project with Leeds Playhouse called 'Sinfonia', the Williamson Park show with the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster exploring a new theatrical adaptation of 'Around the World in 80 Days', and a new production of 'Brassed Off' for Derby Theatre. His recent projects include a world premiere, a co-production between Red Ladder Theatre and Liverpool's Royal Court, called 'Homebaked' which explores the story of the ground-breaking local Liverpool Community Land Trust that lies on the boundary of Everton and Anfield. He has also worked on a four-week summer project to develop an original lighting design, with acclaimed director Alan Lyddiard and cross-disciplinary artist Delaine Le Bas, for Leeds Playhouse and The Performance Ensemble called 'The Promise of a Garden'. The project worked with Leeds Older People's Forum and Leeds 2023 developing a work that combined dance, verbatim storytelling, and over 5000 flowers contributed from a range of community projects.
