Dr Divya Patel
Biography | Dr Divya Sandeep Patel is a Lecturer in Business Strategy at Salford Business School, University of Salford, where she has been contributing since July 2022. She is actively involved in teaching and module leadership across various programs, including MSc Management, MSc International Business, Global MBA, and Business Management with Foundation Year. She leads modules such as Globally Responsible Leadership and Citizenship (Level 7) and Sustainability and Responsible Business among others. Dr. Patel is an experienced educator with a PhD in Management from the Royal Holloway University of London. Her doctoral research focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in small couple businesses in Gujarat, India, exploring gender dynamics through a socioemotional wealth framework informed by social construction feminism. This innovative study integrated participant-led drawings and interviews to examine CSR practices and their intersection with gender, marginalization, and agency. As a Carbon Literacy Coordinator, Dr. Patel has developed the Carbon Literacy Course which is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project. The course is presently being offered to students and staff within the school, with plans underway for its expansion across the entire university. She is also involved in the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project, collaborating internationally to promote sustainability education and cultural knowledge exchange. |
