Mental Health Awareness week 2023
May 15, 2023

Description The mental health nursing team put on a week of events to celebrate mental health awareness week. Each day had one theme from the five ways of well-being. Monday "connect" hosted a shared lunch and conference on well-being across Universities. Tuesday "be active" found staff and students in a penalty shootout and playing giant games in the sports hall. Wednesday 'take notice" was the launch of our hug in a mug campaign, but also a day for floral headdresses, ZINE maker space and a showcase of partners from the local community along with creative Manchester as a keynote lecture to complete the day. Thursday's "learn" was our dementia friends workshop before we got to Friday's "give" for another bake sale for the local charity "START in Salford" and donations to the local food bank.
