Ms Beth Derbyshire

Biography	I am an experienced educator with over 15 years’ experience. I have a huge passion for Teaching and Learning; EdTech and EDI. I now work in higher education giving my experience in teaching, learning and assessment in FE. For the last few years of my career I have specialised in the quality of teaching, learning and assessment with a specialism in digital and blended learning. I am a Wakelet Ambassador, a Microsoft Innovate Educator Expert and trainer; I also recently achieved my CMALT in digital and blended learning. In 2020 and 2021 I was a part of a project for the DfE where we researched and improved digital and blended learning within FE and also managed a group of digital champions to support EdTech skills in the college. I also helped develop a digital strategy. I won the ‘Educator Development Award’ with Microsoft Education for years 2021 and 2022. I have a real passion for the quality of education, specifically with the use of technology to support any student to excel and to make teaching more efficient.
