Biography A nurse by profession, Tony was appointed Professor of Child & Family Health in the University of Salford, England in 2006. He led a multi-professional research group enhancing services, improving outcomes & evidencing impacts on children, young people & families. He worked with the NHS, Local Authorities, and the 3rd Sector; linking with partners in Scandinavia, the Middle East, the Far East, Europe and Australia. He is now Emeritus Professor of Child & Family Health, a trustee at the Birtenshaw Group for SEND education and care, and a Board member for the All-Ireland Paediatric Academic Health Science Network and Centre.
Research Interests My research involves improving quality of life outcomes for children and their families, and enhancing the effectiveness of early intervention in health and social care services for children, young people and families.
