Abstract

Artist in residence and a solo exhibition at the Manchester Museum.

The urban moth is a response to the collections in the Entomology Department of the museum. The Urban Moth is an entirely fictitious breed of moth that lives in the museum. It responds to the architecture, exhibits and even the rubbish outside.

Outcomes from this residency are an exhibition at the Manchester Museum, An archive of porcelain moths and a publication, 'The Field Guide to the Urban Moth' By Angela Tait and Ian Clegg.
