Abstract
"I Thought It Was You" is a masterclass in merging Jazz, Fusion, Funk and Modern synthesiser techniques, still replicated to this day. The second track, "The Bomb", is a straight-up Funky hit out of the 80s funk scrapbook.
We’ve featured the signature Herbie Rhodes and synth work and funky bass lines throughout – as well as a sprinkling of contemporary Jazz genius from our special guest, Gwilym Simcock. The idents feature artwork which stylises this rearrangement with frame-by-frame animation. We’ve also decided on tackling the vocal with a different approach, which, we hope, breathes even more life into an already incredible work of art.
