Abstract

This paper is a reflective piece of my leadership role within Surgical Oncology as past president of the British Association of Surgical Oncology and Honorary Secretary of the European Society of Surgical Oncology. I with, my co-author, describe the key attributes for succesful leadership using experiences throughout my career. I hope this advice which uses a leadership agency lens of lived experience can be a guide to future colleagues as they begin their careers.
