Biography Dr Easton Simenti-Phiri is a lecturer in International Business and Strategy at the University of Salford. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education science from the University of Malawi, an MSc in Marketing Management from the University of Salford and a PhD in Political marketing from the University of Chester in the UK. He also hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education. He is a Fellow of Advance HE (formerly Higher Education Academy).

His research interests are in the areas of Political marketing, branding international marketing, International Business and Strategy, Sustainability and green projects, managing risks in Business, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation and in leadership and management across cultures.

Easton is a seasoned academic with experience in academic partnership management, project leadership and management and postgraduate research supervision. He has served as a reviewer for the journal of Global technology and Business Association (GBAT) and Public Affairs courtesy of his mentor. He has also served as a Track Chair for the Marketing Interest Group for GBAT. He was appointed recently to serve as a member of Corporate Advisory Group of the Association for Project Management (APM), a project management professional body in UK and Europe.

He has presented his research work both locally and internationally in the US, Europe and Southeast Asia.

He enjoys following a variety of sports including football. He is a keen follower of Manchester United. He is sociable and likes to meet new people and enjoys learning about different cultures. He is a family person so when not working, he spends time with his family. He is an avid reader hence likes to read books and journals on his teaching subjects and on faith and other topical issues. He is a good follower of politics and campaign practices in old and new democracies with a particular interest in the Southern African region.
