RaEng: Your Miniature Green Energy House

Project Description

This is a public engagement grant aimed at inspiring primary school children (aged 9-10) from underprivileged backgrounds to undertake a career in STEM subjects, particularly engineering. This is a collaborative project led by CSI (Silvia Tedesco), which will leverage on the research informed sustainability expertise of the PI to deliver on CSI's public outreach goals and the overall university's strategic objectives of widening participation. The collaboration: CSI will lead the co-creation of activities with selected SEE academics, design/build activities will take place in the Maker Space (Salford) and FabLab (Blackburn), a celebration day(s) will take the children to a tour of Energy House 2.0.
